Although we can't recycle EVERYTHING, there are some great salvageable materials we regularly encounter on some of our job sites and we are proud to say that we are now doing a small part in diverting waste from landfill and at the same time hopefully saving you a couple of bucks for your next home improvement project.

Construction and demolition waste makes up 40–50% of New Zealand's total waste going to landfill, according to government and council documents. Each home constructed generates an average of four tonnes of waste. (level.org.nz, Sept 2021)
What we should be doing instead of filling landfill sites, is to pass on these perfectly good materials which can be recycled or reused, to save precious virgin resources and reduce construction costs.
Henderson Demolition has a huge variety of recycled building materials salvaged from demolition sites. Our yard in Papakura, Auckland has a dedicated team managing the salvage, sorting and on-sale of these items.
We sell a wide variety of goods, but our stock is very dependent on what kind of jobs we are working on. The materials we have available are constantly changing, unlike retail shops that sell a standard stock of new goods.
One day it might be some fabulous recycled rimu decking, the next near-new aluminium double glazed doors, the next an array of bathroom materials!
